Anita Evelyn Swallows Obituary (1951 - 2016)

Mrs. Anita Evelyn Swallows, 65, of Madisonville, passed away Friday, June 24, 2016 at Baptist Health in Madisonville. She was born May 21, 1951 in Hopkins Co., KY to the late Willard Baker Moore and Theda Evelyn Carroll. Mrs. Swallows was retired from the Hopkins County Board of Education where she worked as a Certified Instructional Aide at Pride Ave., Jessie Stewart, and Hanson Elementary Schools. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Madisonville. She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Joe of Madisonville; two daughters, Amy Elizabeth (Richard) Clemons and Amanda Emily (Clifford) Norris both of Madisonville; one son, Jason Edward (Audrey) Swallows of Ina, IL; step daughter, Jacqueline (Steve) Pitt, one sister, Willadene Mabry of LaCenter, KY; four brothers, Patrick 'Pat' (Doris) Moore and Wendell (Susan) Moore of Emmaus, PA; James 'Jim' Richard (Sandy) Moore and Tim Moore of Madisonville; nine grandchildren, one great grandson and a granddaughter-in-law. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Dale Carden and Rev. Trace McCann officiating. Burial will follow in Grapevine Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Monday at the funeral home and from 9:30 until service time on Tuesday at the church. Memorial Contributions envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
