Beatrice "Darleen" Jones Obituary (1957 - 2023)

Beatrice "Darleen" Jones, 66, of Dawson Springs, KY passed away peacefully Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at her residence. She was born April 14, 1957 in Hopkins County, KY to the late James A. Blanchard and Ernestine Toler Blanchard. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Diane Dickerson. Darleen worked as a sales clerk at the Ideal Market where she loved working and loved her customers. She loved cooking and watching cooking shows and true crime shows, including Cops and Patrol Live. Her favorite thing to do was to spend time with her grandsons. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Gary Jones of Dawson Springs; son, Adam (Rachel) Jones of Elmwood, WI; sister, Rita McGuyer of Madisonville; brothers, Timothy (Juanita) Blanchard of Nebo, KY and Tommy (Bonnie) Blanchard of Beulah, KY; two grandchildren, Jude and Luke Jones; along with several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, September 25, 2023 at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home Madisonville Chapel with Bro. Gene Pillow and Bro. Bill Crabtree officiating. Burial will follow at Beulah Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until the time of the service Monday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Adam Jones, Luke Carr, Matt McGuyer, Dylan Honeycutt, Jacob Muhlethaler, J.T. Blanchard, and Sarah Blanchard. Honorary pallbearers will be Josh Muhlethaler and Tyler Honeycutt.
