Bernice Weldon Nichols

Bernice Weldon Nichols, 96, Madisonville, KY passed away Friday December 23, 2022 at Hillside Villas Nursing Center in Madisonville.

She was born August 1, 1926, in Ashbyburg, KY to the late Aubrey Chester Weldon and Clara Bell Crabtree Weldon. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William T. "Nick" Nichols.

Mrs. Nichols was a member of the First Baptist Church where she was very active in her Sunday School. She enjoyed her time with family and friends, golf, and tennis. Mrs. Nichols was an avid Bridge player for over 60 years.

She is survived by her daughter, Terry Nichols Clark of Houston, TX; a son Richard (Donni) Nichols of Madisonville; three grandchildren, Scott Nichols of Huntsville, TX, Lori McClure of Shreveport, LA, and Tate Clark of Houston; five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
