Betsy Cardwell Sellers Obituary (1938 - 2012)

\ Betsy Cardwell Sellers, 73, of Anton, KY, died Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at Deaconess Gateway, Newburgh, IN. \ \ She was born August 18, 1938 in Madisonville to the late Ray and Lucille Mama Ceal Cardwell. \ \ She is survived by one daughter, Kathy (Ken) Son of Madisonville; two sons, Stephen (Pam) Sellers and Scott (Charlotte) Sellers both of Anton, KY; three brothers, Bill (Janice) Cardwell, Holeman (Diane) Cardwell, and Coleman (Joyce) Cardwell all of Anton; four grandchildren, Hannah Sellers of Lexington, KY, and Hunter Sellers, Will Son, and Kelsey Son all of Madisonville; two step-grandchildren, Brandie (Greg) Gates of Hanson, KY and Megan Branson of Madisonville. \ \ Betsy managed the North Hopkins Water District for over 25 years. She also was a member of the Hopkins County Fair Board, Anton Homemakers Association, Madisonville Elks Lodge #738, and Bethlehem Christian Church. \ \ Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday, June 7, 2012 at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Bro. Mathus Conrad officiating. Burial will follow in Bethlehem Cemetery. \ \ Visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM Wednesday, June 6, 2012 and after 9:00 A.M. until the service time on Thursday. \ \ Pallbearers will be John Payne, Larry Noffsinger, Cary Baldwin, Mark Offutt, Buddy Cardwell, and Tony Heady. Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Hunt, David Adams, Jimmy D. Young SR., Steve Wagoner, Emmitt Rogers, and Don Clayton. \ \ Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society and the Elks Lodge Christmas Basket Fund. Envelopes will be made available at the funeral home. \ \
