Carma Emma McGary

Mrs. Carma Emma McGary, 82, of Madisonville, KY passed away at 10:25 P.M., Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at Regional Medical Center in Madisonville. \ She was born May 9, 1928 in Hamburg, Germany to the late Erich August Fritz Neumann and Emma Werkhaupt Neumann. She is also preceded in death by her husband James McGary; one son, Eric McGary and one brother, Horst Neumann. \ Mrs. McGary was a member of the First Baptist Church in Madisonville. \ She also belonged to the Neith Temple #80 Daughters of the Nile, the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW and a longtime volunteer of the Mahr Cancer Center. \ She is survived by a niece, Marion Schulenburg of Germany; a great niece, Annika Schulenburg of Germany; a God-Daughter, Debbie Phillips of Madisonville and several nieces and nephews. \ Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, May 22, 2009 at the Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Dr. Joe Leonard and Rev. Donnie Neal officiating. Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Madisonville. \ Visitation will be from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Friday and 9:00 A.M. until service time on Saturday at the funeral home. \ Pallbearers will be Dan McGary, Logan McGary, Mike Ladd, Jake Wyatt, Ray Wyatt and Kevin Wyatt. Honorary pallbearers will be John Rhew, Donnie Neal, Billy Alford and Rodney Phillips. \ Memorial contributions may take the form of donation to the First Baptist Church in Madisonville or the Mahr Cancer Center. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. \
