Charles Coach C Childress

ach C Childress, 69, of Madisonville, KY died at 6:14 P.M. Monday, March 14, 2005 at the Brighton Cornerstone Health Care in Madisonville. \ Born July 13, 1935 in Cub Run, KY he was the son of the late Benjamin Franklin Childress and Ella Thompson Childress. He was also preceded in death by one son, Dennis Wayne Childress in 1978, two sisters, three brothers and one granddaughter in 1991. \ He was a former school teacher for the Hopkins County School System and the Madisonville-North Hopkins Athletic Coach. He was a member of the Living Waters Church of God in Madisonville. \ He is survived by his caretakers; Dana and Eddie Hallum of Nortonville; one daughter, Lisa Martin of Memphis, TN; two sons, Ben Childress of Bowling Green, KY and Jon Childress of Nortonville; one sister, Dolly Stiph of Cub Run, KY; two brothers, George Childress and Lestle Childress both of Park City, KY and six grandchildren. \ Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, March 17, 2005 at the Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Pastor David Jackson officiating. Burial will follow in the Odd Fellows Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mike Martin, Ben Childress, Jon Childress, Josh Martin, Andy Martin, Matt Martin and Ryan Childress. \ Friends may call from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday and on Thursday from 10:00 A.M. until the service at the funeral home. \ Memorials may take the form of donations to the Living Waters Church of God. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. \ \
