Danny "Dan" Edington

Dan Edington, 66 aka 'Dan the Electric Man,' died peacefully at home on Friday, December 29 surrounded by family and friends after a three-week battle with cancer. Dan is survived by his wife Susan, daughter, Cassie Allen of Lexington (Barrett); son, Jonathan Edington of Elizabethtown; brother, Bobby Edington (Linda); sister, Bonnie (Jackie; and Tina (Bill); sister-on-law friend, Rhonda Bohannon of Hamilton, OH; mother and father-in-law Ardith and Ronald Bohannon; cherished cousins, nieces and nephews; beloved dog, Quincy; and special friends, Kay and Ken Buskov, Cathie and Roscoe Moore, Marsha and Ron Segebarth, Anna and Brooks Leasure, and Sandy Cook. Dan was preceded in death by his parents Luther and Elizabeth Edington, brother, Bill and sister, Judy.
Dan was a veteran of the US Air Force, worked was Quality Assurance Manager for General Electric for 20 years, retired from Madisonville Community College, and ran his electrical business 'Dan's Electric' with his buddy Ken Buskov. Dan loved laughing and spending time with his family and friends, was an avid fisherman and loved fishing KY Lake and Canadian lakes. He loved helping people and often pretended he had only to 'flip a switch' to provide electrical services for free to folks who needed a little help.
Dan was a member of Hanson Baptist Church, the FLW Bass Association, Madisonville Home Builders Association, and the NRA.
Celebration of Life services will be held Saturday, January 6 at 2 PM at Cropper Baptist Church in Cropper, KY and another on Sunday, January 7 at 2 PM at Hanson Baptist in Hanson, KY.
