David T. Jackson Obituary (1920 - 2010)

Mr. David T. Jackson, 90, of Madisonville, passed away Monday, August 9, 2010 at West Kentucky Veterans Center in Hanson. \ He was born April 6, 1920 in Hopkins Co., KY to the late Herman and Mary Belle Jackson. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Jackson and one son, Maurice E. Jackson. \ Mr. Jackson was a member of the First Christian Church where he served as an Elder Emeritus in Madisonville. He was also a member of the VFW #5480, Madisonville Masonic Lodge #143 and Woodmen of the World as well as being a Kentucky Colonel. \ He is survived by one daughter, Ruth Ann (George) Street of Louisville, KY; one daughter-in-law, Sally Jackson of Bowling Green, KY; three sisters, Sarah E. Jackson; Mary Jane Hulsey and Margaret (James) Wooten all of Madisonville; one brother, John F. Jackson of Farmington Hills, MI; four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. \ Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, August 14, 2010 at the Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Edwards officiating. Burial will follow in Hicklin Cemetery in Anton. \ Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. and on Saturday from 9:00 A.M. until service time. \ Pallbearers will be George Street, George Street, Jr., Caleb Street, Daniel T. Jackson, Craig Calkins and Aidan Kidwiler. \ Memorial Contributions may take the form of donations to the First Christian Church Building Fund in Madisonville. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. \
