Mr. Edward E. Williams, 72, of Madisonville, KY, passed away Wednesday, May 14, 2008 at 12:23 A.M. at his residence. \ He was born February 26, 1936 in Madisonville, KY to Louise Imogene Williams. \ He was an active member at Olive Branch Baptist Church and had retired from the Department of Transportation. \ He is survived by his wife, Wanda Williams; six daughters and son-in-laws, Brenda (Vic) Hawkins, Shelia (Joe) Sherfick, Susan (Ricky) Winstead, Karla (Tom) Cummings, Patty (Mike) Coke and Penny (Doug) West; 15 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. \ Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, May 16, 2008 at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Bro. Gary Taylor and Bro. Bobby Sellers officiating. Burial will follow in Olive Branch Cemetery. \ Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and after 10:00 A.M. Saturday until the service time at the funeral home. \ Pallbearers will be Frank Latham, Tony Farris, Danny Hartline, Jerry Martin, Phil Fuller and David Turpin. Honorary pallbearers will be Ruddell Brown and Jerry Cable. \ Memorial contributions may be made to Kentucky Sheriffs Boys & Girls Ranch. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. \
