Eucelous Gatlin Obituary (1917 - 2006)

Mr. Eucelous Gatlin, 89, of Madisonville, KY, died Sunday, November 19, 2006, at 10:16 P.M., at Ridgewood Terrace Nursing Home in Madisonville. \ Born March 1, 1917, in Mortons Gap, KY, he was the son of the late William Chesley Gatlin and Annie Whitfield Gatlin. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Aileen Gatlin on September 12, 2006. \ He was a retired coal miner and had worked for East Diamond Coal Mines. He was a member of Second Baptist Church. \ He is survived by several nieces and nephews. \ Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, November 22, 2006 at the Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Rev. Roy D. Finley and Rev. J.D. Holt officiating. Burial will follow in the Grapevine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Matt McKenzie, Wendell Gatlin, Eric Gatlin and Ben Mason. \ Friends may call from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Tuesday and on Wednesday after 9:00 A.M. at the funeral home. \ Memorials may take the form of donations to the Second Baptist Church. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. \
