Frances Louise McNeil Obituary (1926 - 2005)

Mrs. Frances Louise Fran McNeil, 78, of Madisonville, KY died at 1:15 P.M. Saturday, March 19, 2005 at the Regional Medical Center. \ She was born November 30, 1926 in Sacramento, KY the daughter of the late Elbert Rhey Mills and Maureen Plain Mills. She was also preceded in death by one son, Patrick L. McNeil III and one brother, Maubert Mike Mills. \ She was a librarian and teacher for the Hopkins County School System and a longtime library volunteer for the Madisonville-Hopkins County Library. She was a member of the Madisonville First Christian. She was also the recipient of the Point of Light Award from the Madisonville Messenger. \ She is survived by her husband, Patrick L. McNeil of Madisonville; one son, Gregory R. McNeil of Lincoln, KS; two brothers, Perry Mills of Clinton, KY and Don Mills of Lexington, KY; and several nieces and nephews. \ Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon Wednesday, March 23, 2005 at the Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Rev. Don McLaughlin officiating. Burial will follow in the Odd Fellows Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Wayne Browning, Jerry Earl, Rev. Brodie Ambrose, Major Bacon, Claude Bacon and Bryan Bacon. \ Friends may call from 9:00 A.M. until the service on Wednesday at the Barnett-Strother Funeral Home. \ Memorial gifts may take the form of donations to the First Christian Church or the Madisonville -Hopkins County Library.
