Frances Louise Rice Obituary (1922 - 2016)

Frances Louise Rice, 93, of Madisonville, passed away Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at St. Mary's in Evansville, IN. Mrs. Rice was born September 17, 1922 in Muhlenberg Co., KY to the late James Preston Durall and Elsie Rolley Durall. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Leo Rice in 2006; an infant son, Bobby Joe Rice; one sister; and one brother. She attended Life Apostolic Church in Madisonville. She loved her grandchildren and playing golf. She was a nurses aid at Hopkins County Hospital where she retired. Her favorite pass time was smoking cigars. She is survived by one daughter, Patricia Ann (Dural) Sizemore of Evansville, IN; one son, Michael G. (Carol) Rice of Madisonville, KY; four grandchildren; eight great granchildren; and four great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday, August 27, 2016 at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Bro. Dwight Darnell and Bro. Dustin Lee officiating. Burial will follow in Grapevine Cemetery. Visitation will be 10:00 A.M. until service time Saturday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Justin Smith, Anthony M. Sizemore, Anthony G. Sizemore, Gary Smith, Mike Rice, Brian Rice, and Christian Rice.
