Herbert L. \Sonny\"" Jones Obituary (1929 - 2003)

r. Herbert, Sonny Jones, 74, of Madisonville, KY died at 12:15 P.M. Saturday, October 25, 2003, at Regional Medical Center in Madisonville. \ Born January 16, 1929 in Hopkins County, KY, he was the son of the late Herbert Guy Jones and Lucille Corin PPoole. \ He was a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Madisonville and a veteran of the Army and Navy. He had been with the Kentucky State Police, Madisonville City Police Department and retired from the Hopkins County Sheriffs Office. He was also a member of the American Mountain Man Association. \ Surviving are his wife of 52 Years, Betty Clayton Jones; one son, Clay Jones of Madisonville; two sisters, Betty Rickard of Madisonville and Bobbie Blanks of Milan, TN; two grandchildren, Michael Allen Jones and Michelle Lee Jones and five great grandchildren. \ Funeral services will be at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Bro. Tondra Daugherty officiating. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery. \ Pallbearers will be Michael Jones, Keith Strader, Rondall Strader, Bud Rickard, Roger Cron and Dennis Tapp. \ Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Monday and after 10:00 A.M. Tuesday. \ \
