Herman O. Fox Obituary (1918 - 2012)

\ Herman O. Fox, 94, of Madisonville, KY, passed away Friday, October 19, 2012 at St. Anthony's Hospice, Henderson, KY. \ \ He was born August 27, 1918 in Christian County, KY to the late Oscar David and Ollie Marquess Fox. He was also preceded in death by four sisters and one brother. \ \ Mr. Fox was an electrician for Island Creek Coal, a sales representative for Joe Schonthal and Associates, a 320 Mason, a Shiner, a KY Colonel and an accomplished wood worker. \ \ He is survived by his wife, Kathryn Vernell Glover of Madisonville; one daughter, Peggy Lynn (Alton) Scott of Manitou, KY; one son, Bill (Ruth Ann) Fox of White Plains, KY; six grand children, Michael Scott of Charleston, MO, Terri Rose of Madisonville, Julie Simmons of Bowling Green, KY, Jeff Fox of Orlando, FL, Allison DiChiara of Mt. Washington, KY, and Kristen Wyrick of Bowling Green; and eight great-grand children. \ \ Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M, Monday, October 22nd at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Bro. Len Young officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Madisonville. \ \ Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. the service time on Monday at the funeral home. \ \ Pallbearers will be Michael Scott, Shane Simmons, Jeff Fox, David Rose, Josh Wyrick, and Darrell DiChiara. \ \ Memorial contributions may be made to St. Anthony's Hospice, 739 South Main Street Henderson, KY 42420. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
