Iona Teague

Mrs. Iona Teague, 92, of Madisonville, KY, passed away Wednesday, July 20, 2011, at Regional Medical Center. \ She was born January 24, 1919 in St. Jo, TX to the late Browner Williamson and Bessie Harris Williamson. She was also preceded in death by one brother and one sister. \ She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Madisonville, Retired Teachers of Hopkins County, and the Historical Society. \ She is survived by her husband, Ralph Teague of Madisonville; three sons, Randall (Laura) Teague of Madisonville, Rickey (Becky) Teague of Newport, VA, and Dee (Becky) Teague of Hanson, KY; one sister, Wanna Foster of Oklahoma City, OK; one brother, Lee Williamson of Wichita Falls, TX; six grandchildren, and one great grandchild. \ Funeral services will be Saturday, July 23, at 10:00 AM at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Dr. Don Davis and Dr. Glen Sowards officiating. Entombment will be at Madisonville Mausoleum at Odd Fellows Cemetery. \ Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until the service hour on Saturday at the funeral home. \ Pallbearers will be Dr. Allen Elliot, Kiah Winstead, Jeoffrey Teague, Hawkins Teague, Brian Jones, and Brock Jones. \ In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Historical Society of Hopkins County. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. \
