James Edward Smith

\ James Edward Smith, 65, of Madisonville, KY, passed away Monday January 12, 2015 at Baptist Health Hospital in Madisonville, KY. \ \ Mr. Smith was born July 17, 1949, in Torrance, CA, to the late JB Smith and the late Juanita Schwab Smith. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Billie Faye Smith; one brother, Jeri Lee Smith; one niece, Jessica Heath; and one grand-nephew, Jordan Heath. \ \ He was an artist of oil still life painting. He loved his dog, Asta, and was an avid supporter of labor unions. He was a merchant marine, taxi driver, loving husband, father, and grandfather. \ \ He is survived by his daughter; Kathleen (Paul) Camp of Jackson Springs, NC; one sister, Mari Lou Heath of Delta, UT; three grandchildren, Derrick Tyler Enneking, Lindsey Faye Camp, and Dalton James Camp. \ \ Memorial service will be 4:00 P.M.
