James \Gitchie\"" B. Edmiston Obituary (1924 - 2011)

\ Mr. James Gitchie B. Edmiston 86, of Madisonville, passed away Friday, May 27, 2011, at The Western Kentucky Veterans Center in Hanson. \ He was born December 13, 1924 in Hopkins Co., KY to the late Pearl Edmiston and Nora Brinkley Edmiston. He was also preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters. \ Mr. Edmiston was a coal miner for Island Creek Coal as well as a 50 year mason. \ He is survived by his wife, Mary Alexander Edmiston of Madisonville; two sons, Larry B. (Coleen) Edmiston of Owensboro and Jerry D. Edmiston of Earlington; four granddaughters, Blaire; Ashley; Jamie and Brandi and one great grandson, Aaron. \ Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Wednesday at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Lamb officiating. Burial will follow in Hanson Cemetery. \ Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Tuesday and after 12:00 P.M. on Wednesday at the funeral home. \
