James Keith \Groovy\"" Groves Obituary (1962 - 2007)

Mr. James Groovy Keith Groves, 44, of Madisonville, KY, died Sunday, July 1, 2007, at 1:35 P.M., at the Regional Medical Center in Madisonville. \ He was born September 2, 1962, in Madisonville to Elbert & Laura Sue Oates Groves. He had worked for the City of Madisonville Golf Course for over 14 years and was a member of New Salem Baptist Church in Nortonville, KY. \ He was preceded in death by his father. \ Mr. Groves is survived by his mother of Madisonville; four sisters, Cynthia Oakley of Madisonville, Dianne Rowley of Gainesville, FL, Connie Slaton and Karen Faulk, both of Madisonville; one brother, Kevin Lynn Groves of Madisonville; several nieces & nephews and several great nieces & nephews. \ Funeral services will be Wednesday, July 4, 2007, at 10:00 A.M., at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Bro. Steve Rutherford officiating. Burial will follow in Olive Branch Cemetery in Hanson, KY. \ Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., and from 8:00 A.M. until the service time on Wednesday at the funeral home. \ Memorials may take the form of donations to New Salem Baptist Church. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. \ \
