Joanna L Shelton Obituary (1952 - 2018)

Joanna L. Shelton, 65, of Madisonville, KY passed away, Friday, October 26, 2018, at St. Vincent Hospital in Evansville, IN. She was born December 29, 1952, in Chicago, IL. She was preceded in death by a son, Mark Allen Ruby, and a daughter, Sandra Kay Ruby Shadrick. Mrs. Shelton was a member of Fellowship Temple. She loved her gospel music and anything Elvis as well as her little dog Priscilla. She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Archie Shelton; a step-son, Shawn (Carrie) Shelton of Hanson, KY; two sisters, Linda Pleasant of Morton's Gap, KY and Debbie (Bo) Kelley of Sebree, KY; two brothers, Larry Howell of Chicago and Harry Howell Jr of Morton's Gap and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, October 30, 2018, at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Bro. Gene Rickard officiating with burial to follow in Clearview Cemetery in Vendetta, KY. Visitation will be Tuesday from 10:00 A.M. until service time at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Shawn Shelton Jr., Brian Morris, Nick Vandiver, Bo Kelley, Michael Moore, Blayde, James Carlton and Logan Ray Carlton. Honorary Pallbearer will be Shawn Shelton Sr.
