John Michael Whitfield Obituary (1951 - 2014)

\ John Michael Whitfield, 62, of Madisonville, KY, passed away Saturday, February 1, 2014. \ \ He was born December 8, 1951 in Hopkins County, KY to the late JC Whitfield and Francis Griffin Whitfield. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Roger and Tommy Whitfield; and three sisters, Jan Gross, Joyce Flowers, and Patsy Smith. \ \ Mr. Whitfield worked in the health care business and was an avid UK fan. \ \ He is survived by two sisters; Norma Gamble of Belleville, IL and Martha Lataille of Woonsocket, RI; one brother, Jack Whitfield of Madisonville, and several nieces and nephews. \ \ Memorial service will be 1:00 P.M. Thursday, February 6, 2014 Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Bro Scott Burr officiating. Burial will follow at a later date. \ \ Visitation will be from noon until service time on Thursday at the funeral home. \ \
