Joyce Jones

Joyce Jean (Latham) Jones, age 84 of Madisonville, Ky concluded her work on this Earth as a devout Servant of the Lord on March 15, 2019 surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Todd County, KY on September 7, 1934. She is preceded in death by her brothers Cecil and VW Latham and her sister Carolyn (Latham) Shipp, her daughter in law, Debie (Lewis) Jones and her dear friend Katherine Bearden.

Joyce is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, CT Jones and her devoted sons Donnie and Tim Jones, her daughter Debbie (Dewitt) Roden and her sisters Mattie (Larry) Killian,Vada (Don) Tillery and Patty (Chuck) Parker and her brother Bernice Latham. She was the best 'Nannie' to 7 Grandchildren and 12 Great Grandchildren. She also leaves behind many other family members and friends who will dearly miss her big smile and warm heart.

In addition to her relentless devotion to her family and the Lord, she enjoyed sewing, quilting and tending to her flowers.

Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Bro. Gary Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at Olive Branch Cemetery in Hanson.

Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Monday and after 11:00 A.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Jacob Lutz, Clay Jones, Leif Neathery, Adam McGaw, Jay Duncan, Austin Rhye, and Isaac Gipson.
