Jurlene \Dean\" Flener" LeGrand Obituary (1928 - 2014)

\ Jurlene Dean' Flener LeGrand, 85, of Madisonville, KY, passed away Saturday, March 22, 2014 at Baptist Health in Madisonville. \ \ She was born October 3, 1928 in Butler County, KY to the late Freeman Flener and Minnie Burden Flener. She was also preceded in death by two sisters and five brothers. \ \ Mrs LeGrand was a member of Liberty Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school and Bible school for many years. She was a member of Farm Bureau. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and her dog, Max, as well as time on the farm and outdoors. \ \ She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Jack LeGrand of Madisonville; three daughters, Sherlene L. (Johnny) Brown of Nebo, KY, Shelia L. Tabor of Manitou, KY; and Sherri L. (Tim) Riggs of Madisonville; one son, Allen (Suzell) LeGrand of Madisonville; two sisters, Daisy Miller of Bowling Green, KY and Dorothy Morris of Morgantown, KY; one brother, Wildon Wilson of Bowling Green; and eight grandchildren, John Brown, Mike Tabor, Laurelle Brown-Hill, Adam Tabor, Leigh Anne Baize, Katelyn Riggs, Lauren LeGrand, and Kendall Riggs; along with eleven great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. \ \ Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Bro. Tondra Daugherty and Bro. Wayne Lamb officiating. Burial will follow in Hicklin Cemetery. \ \ Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Monday and after 12:00 PM until service time on Tuesday at the funeral home. \ \ Pallbearers will be Johnny Brown, John Brown, Mike Tabor, Adam Tabor, Jeff Baize, Tim Riggs, and Richard Nichols. Wildon Wilson will be an honorary pallbearer. \ \ 'I've had a good life. I'm saved. I had a wonderful marriage, children, and grandchildren. I've loved well and been loved well.
