Louis Franklin \Mutt\"" Corbitt Obituary (1921 - 2004)

Mr. Louis Franklin Mutt Corbitt , 83, of Madisonville, KY died at 8:55 P.M. Sunday, August 22, 2004 at his home. \ Born July 6, 1921 in Hopkins County, KY he was the son of the late Mack Henry Corbett and Sara Elizabeth Ward Corbitt. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Frances Corbitt in 1991 and 11 brothers and sisters. \ He is survived by his daughters, Henny Zoomeshoes of Holland, Netherlands, Mary Jennings of Providence, KY, Connie Gonzalez of Elizabethtown, KY and Norma Groves, Shirley Hill and Linda Todd all of Madisonville; two sons, Robert Corbitt and Louis Alfred Sr., both of Madisonville; one brother, Walter Corbitt of Earlington, KY; 21 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. \ Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Thursday August 26, 2004, at the Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Rev. Danny Lutz officiating. Burial will follow in the Grapevine Cemetery in Madisonville with graveside services by the VFW Post 5480 and American Legion Post 6, American Legion Post 2 and American Legion Post 310. \ Friends may call on Wednesday, August 25, 2004, from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., and from 8:00 A.M. until the service time on Thursday at the funeral home. \ Memorials may take the form of donations to Green River Hospice. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. \
