Lucille Brooks

Mrs. Lucille Brooks, 74, of Slaughters, KY passed away at 9:20 P.M., Thursday, April 8, 2010 at Regional Medical Center in Madisonville. \ She was born December 18, 1935 in Vandetta, KY to the late Albert Gibson and Wanda Griffin Gibson. She is also preceded in death by one son, Gary Brooks. \ Mrs. Brooks was a member of Mt. Pleasant Methodist Church in Slaughters. \ She is survived by her husband, Gerald Brooks of Slaughters; one daughter Julane Blue of Hanson; two sisters, Gay Cummens and Grace Newton both of Slaughters; one brother, Hayden Gibson of Slaughters; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren. \ Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, April 10, 2010 at the Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Bro. Jay Shuck officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Slaughters. \ Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. on Saturday at the funeral home. \ Pallbearers will be Keith Taylor, Wayne Pauley, Ronnie Newton, Marshall Gibson, Mike Gibson and James Newton. \
