Margaret D. Elliott Obituary (1909 - 2008)

Mrs. Margaret D. Elliott, 98, of Madisonville, KY died Monday, April 14, 2008, at Methodist Hospital in Morganfield, KY. \ Born December 20, 1909 in Alabama. She was the daughter of William D. and Eda Eaton Bennell Downey. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Thomas Elliott. \ She retired as a telephone operator for South Central Bell in 1971. She was a member of the Telephone pioneers and was a Christian. \ Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Corinne Blake of Madisonville and Mrs. Patricia Bedwell of Peoria, IL; five grandchildren and several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. \ Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 16, 2008, at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Rev. Hughlan P. Richey officiating. Burial will follow in New Salem Cemetery in Nortonville, KY. \ Visitation will be form 11:00 A.M. until the service time Wednesday. \ \
