Matt Ellison, 33, of Madisonville, KY passed away at 9:00 P.M. Monday, February 21, 2011, at his residence. \ He was born December 7, 1977, in Madisonville, KY. He was of the Baptist faith and saved at the First Christian Church in Sturgis, KY. \ He is survived by his mother and step father, Carol and Johnny Garrett of Evansville, IN; father and step mother, Rod and Patricia Ellison of Madisonville; grandparents, Joe and Sarah Calloway of MI, Warren and June Cartwright of Madisonville, Maurice and Betty Garrett of Sturgis and Linda Jones of Hanson, KY; two sisters, Jennifer Elmendorf of Newburgh, IN and Hailey Forehand of Madisonville; several step brothers and step sisters. \ Memorial Service will be 6:30 P.M., Thursday, February 24, 2011 at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Bro. Maurice Garrett officiating. \ A time of gathering with the family will be 4:30 P.M. until 6:30 P.M., Thursday at the funeral home. \
