Medibeth Edwards Hunt

Medibeth Edwards Hunt, 96 of Madisonville, KY passed away peacefully on January 26, 2019 at Ridgewood Terrace Nursing Home in Madisonville.
Medibeth was born on January 1, 1923 in Madisonville to Roy and Ada Edwards both of whom preceded her in death. She had six siblings, Barbara Edwards Todd, Roy Edwards, A.J. Edwards, Fred Edwards, Martha Coffman and Donnie Edwards.
She grew up in Madisonville and graduated from Madisonville High School and was the drum majorette under Dean Dowdy. She met L.R. Hunt at Murray State University. They married on December 5, 1941. Medibeth followed L.R. during his military service in World War II working as a secretary at various military bases. They returned to Madisonville where L.R. was a banker for Peoples Bank and Trust Company. Medibeth was a homemaker caring for her extended family.
She is survived by her son, Rush Hunt, and his wife Barbie Hunt; her grandchildren, Lara Hunt and her husband, Jim Greene, of Madisonville, and Lee Hunt and his wife Kristi, of Santa Fe, New Mexico, and six great-grandchildren; as well as, her brother, Fred Edwards and wife, Burma, of Flippin, AR, and her sister, Martha Edwards Coffman, of Madisonville, and several nieces and nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Garrigan officiating. Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. until service time on Wednesday at the funeral home.
