Mike Thurman Howton Obituary (1920 - 2005)

\ Mr. Mike Thurman Howton, 84, of Madisonville, KY died at 9:45 A.M. Saturday, February 26, 2005 at the Regional Medical Center. \ Born April 9, 1920 in Dalton, KY he was the son of the late James Henry Howton and Jimella Bailey Howton. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Loella Jackson Howton, July 31, 1983 and one sister, Geneva Lindsey. \ He was a coal miner and a WW II Army veteran. \ He is survived by two daughters; April Wells of Kuttawa, KY and Angel Arlene Ewing in New Albany, IN; two sons, Mike Russell Howton and Carl Henry Howton both of Madisonville; one brother, Audrey Howton of Madisonville; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. \ Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, March 1, 2005 at the Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Rev. Roy D. Finley officiating. Burial will follow in the Bethlehem Cemetery. \ Friends may call from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Monday and on Tuesday after 8:00 A.M. at the funeral home. \ \
