Nan \Nana\"" Evelyn Stokes Obituary (1926 - 2004)

Mrs. Nan Nana Evelyn Stokes, 78, of Madisonville, KY died at 7:50 A.M. Sunday, October 10, 2004 at the Versnick Health Care Center. \ Born January 17, 1926 in Hopkins County, KY she was the daughter of the late Dolphus Walker Corbitt Sr. and Ida Rickard Corbitt. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Charlotte Ann Stokes in 1959, and by two sisters, Kay Jameson and Frances Bollinger. \ She worked in food and nutrition at Hopkins County Hospital, the Regional Medical Center and Brown Rest Home. \ She is survived by three daughters; Linda Stokes of Madisonville, Crystal (Larry) Hulsey of Crofton, KY, and Sandi (Paul) McDaniel of Madisonville; two sons, Troy (Dawn) Stokes and Vince (Lisa) Stokes, both of Madisonville; one brother, Dolphus Corbitt Jr. of Orlando, FL; twelve grandchildren, Shawn Stokes of Madisonville, Angela Carr of Collinsville, OK, Misty Moore of Madisonville, Jeremy (Leigh Ann) Moore of Mayfield, KY, LeAnn Stokes of Madisonville, Olivia Stokes of Madisonville, Caleb Hulsey of Hopkinsville, KY, Ashley Hulsey of Crofton, KY, and Lillie Stokes of Port Orange, FL, Desra McDaniel of Evansville, IN, Andrea Suter of Chandler, IN, and Katie McDaniel of Evansville, IN; four great grandchildren, Bradley Moore and Brianna Moore, both of Madisonville, and Corbin Hulsey and Adriahna Hulsey both of Hopkinsville, KY. \ Funeral services will be Wednesday, October 13, 2004, at 10:00 A.M., at the Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Bro. Roy Ellis officiating. Burial will follow in Grapevine Cemetery. \ Visitation will be Tuesday, October 12, 2004, from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., and from 8:00 A.M. until the service time on Wednesday at the funeral home. \ \ \
