O.D. \Beaver\"" Ramsey Obituary (1924 - 2007)

Mr. O.D. Beaver Ramsey, 83, of Madisonville, KY died at 5:58 P.M. Monday, August 13, 2007 at his home. \ Born July 15, 1924 in Hopkins County, KY he was the son of the late George Edward Ramsey and Lucy Norman Williams Ramsey. He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Louise Hobbs and Janie Ramsey; three brothers, Jesse Ramsey, Charles Raymond Ramsey and Claude Ramsey and one grandson, Wayne Ramsey. \ He was a retired miner for Island Creek Coal Co. and a member of Covenant Community Church and was active in the Habitat for Humanity community. \ He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Jean Case Ramsey of Madisonville; two daughters, Anna Littlepage of Kuttawa, KY and Brenda DeMoss of Hanson, KY; two sons, Oscar W. Ramsey of Madisonville and Jeff Ramsey of Manitou, KY; one sister, Eva Chase of Gillette, WY; nine grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. \ Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, August 16, 2007 at the Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Pastor Michael Knight and Rev. Glen Hobgood officiating. Burial will follow in the Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Brad Ramsey, Josh Ramsey, David Littlepage, Dustin Littlepage, Daniel Littlepage, Gregg Simoneaux, David Mutchnik and Craig Wells. Honorary pallbearers will be Levi Knight, Larry Dame and Jerry Rickard. \ Friends may call from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Wednesday and on Thursday after 8:00 A.M. until the services. \ Memorial gifts may take the form of donations to the Door of Hope Pregnancy Care Center and Teen Challenge, PO Box 415, Dixon, KY 42409.
