Ollie Wright Jr. Obituary (1926 - 2007)

Ollie Wright Jr., 80, of Madisonville, KY, died at 5:05 P.M. Thursday, March 8, 2007, at his residence. \ Born December 25, 1926, in Hopkins County, KY, he was the son of the late Ollie Hanson Wright and Zadie Combs Wright. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Anita Faye Wright; one brother, Billy Wright Sr., and two sisters, Louise Vandiver and Mary L. Littlepage. \ He was an Army WWII veteran and an auto technician for over 40 years. He was a member of Second Baptist Church in Madisonville, and VFW Post 5480 and American Legion Post 6. \ Mr. Wright is survived by two sons, Russell Wright of Topeka, KS, and Garry Wright of Nortonville, KY; two sisters, Dorothy Brooks of Johnson City, IL, and Ruby Cornell of Madisonville; two brothers-in-law, Joe Skaggs of Madisonville and Herman Vandiver of Earlington, KY; one sister-in-law, Martine Wright of Madisonville and several nieces & nephews. \ Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday, March 11, 2007, at the Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Revs. Roy Finley and J. D. Holt officiating. Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery. \ Visitation will be 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Saturday and from 11:00 A.M. until the service time on Sunday at the funeral home. \ Pallbearers will be Billy Wright, Terry Brooks, Charles Cornell, Dennis Brooks, Kent Mikaelsson and Tim Jackson. \ Online condolences may be made at www.barnettstrother.com. \
