Robert Eugene Brown

Mr. Robert Eugene Brown, 84, of Madisonville, KY passed away at 2:30 P.M., Sunday, May 23, 2010 at his residence. \ He was born June 17, 1925 in Madisonville, KY to the late Clarence Wesley and Helen Louise Rigney Brown. \ Mr. Brown was retired from coal mining after 40 years and was a member and deacon of First Christian Church of Madisonville. He was in the U.S. Naval Air Force as a naval aviator during World War II. Mr. Brown was a member of the Elks, American Legion and Masonic Lodge as well as being a pilot and enjoyed flying. \ He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Nelda Myers of Madisonville; one daughter, Debbie (Larry) Noffsinger of Madisonville; one son, Greg (Pam) Brown of Beulah, KY; five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. \ A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, May 27, 2010 at The First Christian Church in Madisonville with Pastor Don McLaughlin officiating. Inurnment will follow in Beulah Cemetery in Beulah. Graveside Honor Services will be conducted by the American Legion Post #6 of Madisonville, the American Legion Post #2 of Earlington and the VFW Post #5480 of Madisonville. \ There will be no visitation. \ Memorial contributions may take the form of a donation to the First Christian Church Building Fund in the name of Molly Noffsinger and Taylor Whitfield. Envelopes will be available at the church. \
