Robert Otis Williams Obituary (1941 - 2017)

Robert Otis Williams, 75, of Madisonville, KY, passed away Thursday, June 29, 2017, at Baptist Health in Madisonville. He was born August 7, 1941 in Madisonville, KY to the late Carl Otis Williams and Agnus Adell Zeatmeyer; along with his step-mother who raised him, Amy Mae Estes. He was also preceded in death by four brothers and one sister. Mr. Williams worked as a truck driver and was a minister. He was a Vietnam veteran. He was a member of Hopewell Street Baptist Church and the VFW. He enjoyed racing, all sports, and was a U.K. fan, was a lifelong Dallas Cowboy fan, and also drove race cars. His favorite thing was gospel music. He is survived by his wife of 11 years, Carol; three step-children; two sisters, four brothers, several nieces and nephews and several grandangels. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Monday, July 3, 2017 at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Bro. James Parish and Bro. Greg Bruner officiating. Burial will follow at West Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. Sunday and from 11:00 A.M. until the service time Monday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Chris, Dennis Earl, Jimmy, Nick, Bobby, and Randy.
