Rocky Grace Obituary (1949 - 2020)

Rocky Grace, 70, of Madisonville, KY passed away Saturday, January 25, 2020 at his residence. He was born December 1, 1949 in Muhlenberg County, KY, the only child of the late Iley Grace and Ruby "Pearl" Wilhite Grace. Rocky graduated from North Hopkins and Murray State. He worked for Franklin Assets in Earlington and as an electrician for Peabody Coal Company in Tuscola, IL. He was a member of Providence Rural United Methodist Church and attended Old Salem United Methodist Church. He enjoyed collecting Santa's and going camping in the Smokey Mountains. He is survived by his wife, Rita Hailey Grace; brother-in-law, Bill (Diann) Hailey; sister-in-law, Mary Anne (Vince) Medlock; nephews, Trevor Hailey, Nick Hailey, and Sam Medlock; along with many 4-H participants from Douglas County, IL. Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Bro. J.W. Durst and Bro. Archie Fugate officiating. Burial will follow in East Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Tuesday and from 8:30 A.M. until service time on Wednesday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Mike Clapper, Greg Boyce, David Weir, Andy Thomison, Lanny Ashby, and Matt Davis.
