Roy Evans Stills

Mr. Roy Evans Stills, 77, of Hanson, KY, passed away Monday, October 10, 2011, at his residence. \ He was born January 26, 1934 to the late Raymond Clyde and Beaulah Thomas Stills. He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Ethel Barnes and Nancy Smiley; and one brother, Raymond Clyde Stills Jr. \ He was veteran of the Army and served in the Korean War. He was also a member of the VFW and American Legion. Mr. Stills was a member of Pritchett Chapel. He was a coal miner having worked at Pyro and Peabody Coal Companies and JB Hunt Trucking Company. \ He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Shirley Flener Stills; one son, Roy Eugene Gene (Kristie) Stills of Slaughters; and one daughter, Shelia Ann Stills of Madisonville, KY; and two sisters, Anna Lipford of Dawson Springs and Yvonne Nelson of Hanson; eleven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. \ Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Bro. Bob Rich officiating. Burial will follow in Hanson Cemetery. \ Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home. \ Pallbearers will be Jonny Jones, Tommy Barnes, Rodney Flener, Greg Flener, Dwight Nelson, and Matthew Flener. \ Memorials maybe made to Pritchett Chapel Building Fund, envelopes available at the funeral home. \
