Roy T. Cox, 78, of Madisonville, KY, went to be with the Lord, Saturday, January 26, 2013 at University of Louisville Hospital, Louisville, KY. \ \ He was born January 4, 1935 in Hopkins Co., KY to the late Finis and Verbia Hasley Cox. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Danny Fay Cox and dearly loved daughter-in-law Linda Bennett. \ \ Mr. Cox was an active member of Grace Warehouse Church in Madisonville. He also enjoyed gardening and carpentry work. \ \ He is survived by his wife, Betty Childers Cox; two daughters, Serina (Shane) White and LaDonna (Thomas) Childers both of Madisonville; two sons, Gary (Donna) Bennett and Phillip Bennett both of Madisonville; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. \ \ Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Bro. Gary Bennett, Bro. Phillip Bennett, and Bro. Thomas Childers officiating. Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Madisonville. \ \ Visitation will be 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Monday and after 11:00 A.M. Tuesday at the funeral home. \ \ Pallbearers will be Rob Bennett, Kaleb Wyatt, Shane White, Jonathan White, Tyler White, and Blake Harris. Honorary Pallbearer will be Chris Willyard. \ \
