Sue Helen Buchanan

Sue Helen Buchanan, 83, of Madisonville, passed away Sunday, August 21, 2016 at Hillside Villa in Madisonville.
Mrs. Buchanan was born April 14, 1933 in Hopkins Co., KY to the late Cleo and Isabelle Kirkwood. She was also preceded in death by one son; Mark Buchanan and one daughter, Donna Larkin. She was married to her husband, McHenry Lee Buchanan for 62 years before his death in 2014.
She was owner of M&S BBQ with her husband. Sue was a faithful servant to the Lord. She enjoyed church services and bible study at the nursing home with her friends. For many years she loved playing bingo at Rizpah Shriners and the American Legion. Her favorite pass times were visiting with family, friends, and her loving caregivers and working crossword puzzles daily.
She is survived by two daughters, Linda K. (Tony) Reynolds of Madisonville and Tamara Buchanan of Madisonville; one son, Michael Buchanan of Madisonville; fourteen grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.
Memorial services will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Bro. Eddie Sisk officiating.
Visitation will be 1:00 P.M. until service time at the funeral home.
