Wilbert Wayne Wells Obituary (1937 - 2018)

Wilbert Wayne Wells, 81 of Hanson, KY passed away Saturday, September 22, 2018 at Baptist Health in Madisonville. He was born May 16, 1937 in Bay City, IL to the late Preston and Olla Wells. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Barbara Jo Wells; one daughter, Susan Wells Canaday; two brothers, and one sister. He was proud to be a veteran. He loved fishing, dancing, traveling, and having fun. He enjoyed gardening and loved family and family get togethers. He is survived by his wife, Drema Wells; one son, Wayne Warren Wells of Clarksville, TN; three step-children, Patty (Chuck) Ryan of Marion, KY, Rick (Norma) Blevins of Phoenix, AZ, and John (Marty Morgan) Blevins of Asheboro, NC; one son in law, Brett Richard Canaday of Snellville, GA; special thanks to a granddaughter, Katie Killough; 13 grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Rev. Brad Tucker officiating. Entombment will follow at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West in Hopkinsville. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until service time on Wednesday at the funeral home.
