William \Bill\"" Lee Curry Obituary (1934 - 2005)

\ Mr. William Lee Curry Jr., 71, of Hanson, KY, died Saturday, December 17, 2005, at 5:15 A.M., at the Regional Medical Center in Madisonville. \ Born February 3, 1934, in Versailles, KY, he was the son of the late William Lee Curry Sr. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Bob and Charlie Curry. \ Mr. Curry was a manager for Royal Brass & Hose in Madisonville; was a teacher and coach for the Tell City and Vincennes school districts in Indiana for 20 years. He played defensive end for the Detroit Lions and played at the University of Kentucky under Coach Bear Bryant. He was a Western Kentucky University graduate and a member of Clear Creek Baptist Church in Versailles. \ He is survived by his wife, Angelene Ann Curry of Hanson, his mother, Anna Mae Perry of Versailles; two sons, Joe Curry of Madisonville and Russ Curry of St. Simons Island, GA; and two grandchildren, Brayden and Cade Curry. \ Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 20, 2005, at 2:00 P.M., at the Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Hendricks officiating. Burial will follow in West Lawn Cemetery in Hanson. \ Visitation will be Monday, December 19, 2005, from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., and from 9:00 A.M. until the service time on Tuesday at the funeral home. \ Memorials may take the form of donations to Disabled American Veterans. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. \
