Woodrow Yonts Obituary (1924 - 2008)

Mr. Woodrow Yonts, 83, of Madisonville, KY, died Thursday, March 6, 2008 at 5:50 A.M. at the Western Kentucky Veterans Center in Hanson, KY. \ He was born August 11, 1924 in Cleaton, KY to the late William Herbert Yonts and Nina Merle Clark Yonts. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Luella Yonts on November 20, 2007 and a son, David Edward Yonts on April 1, 1993. \ He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Madisonville. He was a member of the Madisonville Rotary Club and was a U. S. Army veteran. \ Mr. Yonts is survived by four sons, Robert Yonts of Madisonville, John Yonts of Bowling Green, KY, William Thomas Yonts of Lexington, KY and Richard Yonts of Cory, NC; two sisters, Winona Hutton of Nortonville, KY and Wilma Miller of Evansville, IN and eleven grandchildren. \ Funeral services will be Saturday, March 8, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Rev. Weyman McGuire officiating. Burial will follow in Grapevine Cemetery. \ Visitation will be Saturday from 11:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home. \ Memorial gifts may take the form of donations to the First United Methodist Church Children & Youth Renovation Fund. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. \
