Zada C. Adams Obituary (1915 - 2005)

Mrs. Zada C. Adams, 90, of Madisonville, KY, died Thursday, September 29, 2005, at 11:00 A.M., in Madisonville. \ Born May 15, 1915, in Hopkins County, KY, she was the daughter of the late William Edward Crowley and Ellen Jones Crowley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Adams; two sisters, Vera Hewlett and Marie Crowley; and by two brothers, Garland Crowley and Gaston Crowley. \ She retired from the Pennyrile Mental Health Center; a member of the First United Methodist Church; Isabel Gardner Sunday School Class; United Methodist Women; ABC Choir; Golden Age Group; Past Matrons; Order of the Eastern Star #290; Daughters of the Nile #80; and a volunteer at the Glema Mahr Center for the Arts. \ Mrs. Adams is survived by a daughter, Nancy Tackett of Madisonville; two grandchildren, Sara Chapman of Bowling Green, KY, and Dr. Mark Tackett of Madisonville; two great granddaughters, Meg Tackett and Kaitlyn Chapman; a great grandson, Stuart Tackett; and several nieces and nephews. \ Funeral services will be Saturday, October 1, 2005, at 2:00 P.M., at the Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Dr. Don Davis and the Rev. Weyman McGuire officiating. Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery. \ Visitation will be Friday, September 30, 2005, from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., and from 12:00 noon until the service time on Saturday at the funeral home. \ Memorials may take the form of donations to the First United Methodist Church Music Department. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. \
