Alan Patrick \Pat\"" Bell Obituary (1945 - 2007)

Mr. Alan Patrick Pat Bell, 62, of Madisonville, KY died at 9:15 P.M. Tuesday, July 31, 2007 at the Regional Medical Center. \ Born March 23, 1945 in Dawson Springs, KY he was the son of the late Fratis K. Bell and Cynthia Frances Jackson Bell. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, James B. Bell and Marshall Glen Bell. \ He was a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Madisonville, a retired Kentucky State Police Detective, a Probation Officer for the Kentucky Department of Justice, a member of Pat Collins Lodge #19 F.O.P. where he served as a Trustee and was a Past Secretary and Treasure, a United States Navy veteran serving in Vietnam, a member of the Dawson Springs VFW # 5359 and a graduate of Eastern Kentucky University. \ He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Sandra Rice Bell of Madisonville; one daughter, Dana Ray of Mt. Vernon, IL; one son, Kevin Bell of Owensboro, KY; one sister, Barbara Sue Kimmel of Rabbit Ridge, KY and seven grandchildren. \ Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, August 3, 2007 at the Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Chaplain Gary Lafferty, F.O.P. Chaplain Tim Davis and Rev. David Gentry officiating. Burial will follow in the Grapevine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Kentucky State Police officers. Honorary pallbearers will be the members of the Pat Collins Lodge #19 F.O.P. \ Friends may call from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Thursday and on Friday after 9:30 A.M. at the funeral home. \ There will be a F.O.P. memorial service at 7:00 P.M. Thursday evening at the funeral home. \ Memorial gifts may take the form of donations to the American Cancer Society.
