Anna V. Heltsley Ezell Jones Obituary (1910 - 2009)

\ Mrs. Anna Victoria Heltsley Ezell Jones, 99, of Madisonville, KY passed away at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, August 8, 2009 at NHC Healthcare in Madisonville, KY. \ She was born June 10, 1910 in Gilbertsville, KY to the late John Wesley (J.W.) Heltsley and Alice Emma Oates Heltsley. She was also preceded in death by one sister and four brothers. \ Mrs. Jones was a longtime member of First Baptist Church in Madisonville. \ She was owner/operator of Ezells Kitchen and she also worked at Penneys for several years, managed two fabric shops, worked at Watsons Department Store and Enro Shirt Co. \ She is survived by four daughters, Alice Ezell Arnold of Madisonville; Anna R. Ezell Gamblin of Madisonville; Lynda (John) Ezell Oldham of Ledbetter, KY; and Mary K. Ezell Paynter of Fishers, IN; nine grandchildren, Vicki (Terry) A. Santos of Crystal Lake, IL; Susan (Tim) Talley of Plano, TX; Laura Oldham of Northampton, MA; Gregory (Amanda) Oldham of Paducah, KY; Deanne (David) Beck of Griffith, IN; Natalie Paynter of Indianapolis, IN; Edwin Paynter Jr. of Durham, NC; Andrew (Andrea) Paynter of Jacksonville, FL; and William Gamblin Jr. of Milton, FL; eight great grandchildren, Hannah Talley of Plano, TX; Jessica Santos of Crystal Lake, IL; Elaine Beck of Griffith, IN; Owen Beck of Griffith, IN; Kira Paynter of Germany; Lucas Paynter of Germany; Audrey Paynter of Jacksonville, FL; Piper Gamblin of Pace, FL; three step great grand children, Claire York of Paducah, KY; Makayla York of Paducah, KY; and Ashley Martinez of Jacksonville, FL; and her caregivers, Elowise Hale, Jane Seiber, Vicki McGuire, Ann Adcock and Lillie Moore. \ Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, August 12, 2009 at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Dr. Joe Leonard and Bro. Jim McMurtrie officiating. Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery. \ Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday and 9:00 A.M. until service time on Wednesday at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home. \ Pallbearers will be Tom Myers, Larry Wilson, James Ross Parker, Charles Rudd, Edwin Paynter Jr., Gregory Oldham and Andrew Paynter. \ Memorial Contributions may take the form of donation to First Baptist Church in Madisonville. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. \
