Archie McGregor Obituary (1964 - 2026)

Buddy McGregor, 61, of Kuttawa, KY, passed away on June 10, 2026, at Baptist Health Deaconess in Madisonville, KY. He was born on June 18, 1964, in Indianapolis, IN to the late Archie Louard McGregor Sr. and Carolyn Jean Jarrett McGregor. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his son, Jacob McGregor. Buddy was known by all who knew him as someone who could “do it all”. He could do anything that he set his mind to, especially fixing things. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, riding his motorcycles, and was a mechanic at heart, fixing anything that could be fixed. Above all he loved his family, especially his children and grandchildren, and provided for them and loved being a dad and grandpa. He is survived by his three daughters, Amber McGregor Fuqua, Nancy Lewis, and Jessica Sharp; his son, Malcolm Lewis; his sister, Sherry McGregor; his nephew, Jed McGregor; eleven grandchildren; and two great grandchildren with one on the way. In addition, he had many bonus children and grandchildren who were not biologically his but whom he loved like his own regardless. Memorial services for the family will be held at a later date. Barnett-Strother Funeral Home was entrusted with care.
