Avis Rogers Foster Boze Obituary (1925 - 2009)

\ Mrs. Avis Rogers Foster Boze, 84, of Madisonville, Kentucky passed away at 1:45 A.M., Saturday, March 28, 2008 at her residence. \ She was born February 25, 1925 in Christian Co., KY to the late Dee Emerson Rogers and Mattie Lou Fuller Rogers. She is also preceded in death by her first husband, Bradley Owen Foster; her second husband, James H. Boze; one son, Michael Foster; one sister, Marion Simms; four brothers, Marvin Rogers, Guy Rogers, Mack Rogers, and Forest Rogers. \ She worked for GE in Owensboro where she retired. \ She is survived by two daughters, Shirley (Al) Appleby of Madisonville and Joyce Foster Bush of Madisonville; three grandchildren, Chuck Clark, Kristi Howard and Jason Bush; and four great grandchildren, Emily Bush, Ryan Bush, Elizabeth Tatum, and Tori Howard. \ Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at the Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Pastor Michael Knight officiating. Burial will follow in New Salem Cemetery in Nortonville, KY. \ Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Monday and after 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday at the funeral Home. \ Pallbearers will be Chuck Clark, Jason Bush, Todd Howard, Ricky Locke, Terry Rogers, and Johnny Rogers. \ Memorial contributions may take the form of donation to the Green River Hospice. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. \
