Bartlett Evans \Zach\"" Talley Obituary (1925 - 2007)

Mr. Bartlett Evans Zach Talley, 81, of Madisonville, KY, died 9:45 A.M. Saturday, June 9, 2007, at Regional Medical Center in Madisonville. \ Born August 13, 1925 in Guthrie, KY. He was the son of the late Zachariah B. Talley and Mary Elizabeth Evans Talley. \ Mr. Talley was a member of the First Christian Church in Madisonville. He worked for 43 years with the L & N and CSX Railroads (Evansville Division) as safety supervisor. He was a World War II Navy veteran. \ Surviving are his wife, Edna June Head Talley; one daughter, Marilyn Talley of Hardinsburg, KY; three sons, K. Evans Talley of Madisonville, Tim & Susan Talley of Plano, TX and Philip Talley of Murray, KY and two grandchildren. \ Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, June 12, 2007, at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Rev. Don McLauglin and Rev. Wayne Edwards officiating. \ Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery. \ Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Monday and after 9:00 A.M. Tuesday. \ Memorials may take the form of donations to the First Christian Church of Guthrie, 124 Green Street, Guthrie, KY 42234, the First Christian Church of Madisonville, 1030 College Drive, Madisonville, KY 42431 or charity of choice.
