Bernice Mae Qualls Wood Obituary (1918 - 2014)

\ Bernice Mae Qualls Wood, 96, of Madisonville, KY passed away, Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at Baptist Health in Madisonville. \ \ She was born May 26, 1918 to the late Lonnie Qualls and Ella Campbell Qualls. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Amos Edward Wood; two sisters, Hazel Beeny and Mable Clark; and two brothers, Wallace and Roscoe Qualls. \ \ Mrs. Wood attended Concord General Baptist Church. She loved music and liked to fox trot. \ \ She is survived by one daughter, Linda (Nick) Denny of Madisonville; three sons, Wesley (Mary) Wood of Cadiz, KY, Wallace Wood of Madisonville, and Russell (Naoma) Wood of Cary, NC; seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren. \ \ Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, September 20, 2014 at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Bro. Eddie Fleming officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. \ \ Visitation will be 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Friday and from 10:00 A.M. until the service time Saturday at the funeral home. \ \ Memorials donations may be made to your favorite charity. \ \
