Chester Raymond Ethington

Chester Raymond Ethington, 70, of Madisonville, KY, passed away on Friday, February 11, 2011, at St. Marys Medical Center in Evansville, IN. \ He was born August 27, 1940, in Shelbyville, KY, to the late Chester Raymond and Christine Travis Ethington, Sr. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Carole Ethington. \ Mr. Ethington was a member of BPOE #708 as well as retired from the State Highway Department. \ He is survived by his wife, Stacey Boles Ethington of Madisonville; three daughters, Cynthia (Todd) Heady of Finchville, KY; Jessica Ethington and Ellis McKechnie of Madisonville and Liesl (Joel) Ethington-Carl of Charleston, SC; stepchildren, Tate McGregor and Carmen McGregor both of Madisonville; one sister, Nancy (Tony) White of Lexington, KY; one brother, Don (Pat) Ethington of Danville, VA; two grandchildren, Madeleine and Fletcher Ethington-Carl both of Charleston and six nieces and nephews. \ Funeral service will be 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Bro. Marty Robertson officiating. Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Madisonville. \ Visitation will be 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. on Monday and 11:00 A.M. until service time on Tuesday at the funeral home. \ Pallbearers will be Ernie Garst, Dickie Pendley, Bob Child, Danny Hopper, Gerry Burns and Bobby Morgan. \ Honorary pallbearers will be Don Perryman, Kenney Clark, Mike Wyatt, Jon Garrett, Mark Eison, Greg Clark, Bill Nance, Dan Lutz, Joe Barnard, Tim Waddle, Vick Vandiver, Ro Cabbage, Bobby Tapp, Bill Hawkins, Doug Perkins, Larry Hunt, Kenny Stall, Bob Hanson and Ron Sills. \ Memorial contributions may take the form of donation to the American Cancer Society.
