Clyde W. Nesmith Sr. Obituary (1935 - 2007)

Mr. Clyde W. Nesmith Sr., 72, of Madisonville, KY, died Friday, October 5, 2007, at 6:05 A.M., at the Regional Medical Center in Madisonville. \ He was born March 8, 1935, in Hopkins County, KY, to the late Vernon and Alta B. Guy Nesmith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lula Frances Nesmith on March 2, 2004, and three brothers, Herbert Nesmith, Morton Nesmith and Leonard Nesmith. \ He had been a fabricator and welder and was a member of Fellowship Temple in Madisonville. He enjoyed hunting, fishing & playing the guitar. \ Mr. Nesmith is survived by a son, Clyde Nesmith Jr. of Madisonville; two daughters, Alesia Nesmith of Clarksville, TN, and Jackie Nesmith of Louisville, KY; two step-daughters, Nyoka Hawes of Eddyville, KY, and Cindy Barber of Earlington, KY; two brothers, Shirley Nesmith of Manitou, KY, and Gordon Nesmith of Madisonville; one grandchild; five step-grandchildren and seven step-great grandchildren. \ Funeral services will be Monday, October 8, 2007, at 1:00 P.M., at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Rev. Gene Rickard officiating. Burial will follow in Oakley Home Cemetery in Manitou, KY. \ Pallbearers will be Clyde Nesmith Jr., Steve Nesmith, Dwayne Nesmith, Monte Nesmith, Eddie Barber and Frank Barber. Honorary pallbearers will be Shirley Nesmith and Gordon Nesmith. \ Visitation will be Sunday from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M., and from 9:00 A.M. until the service time on Monday at the funeral home. \
