Ellis Lee Johnson Obituary (1942 - 2021)

Ellis Lee Johnson, 79, of St. Charles, KY passed away Thursday, September 9, 2021, at Baptist Health Deaconess in Madisonville, KY. He was born February 27, 1942, in Madisonville to the late Ben Johnson and Ruby Love Messamore Johnson. He was preceded in death by his son, Ricky Johnson. Ellis worked as a maintenance supervisor at Buckhorn. He was a member of God's Kingdom and attended Suthards Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Brenda Carole Jones; seven children, Danny Johnson of St. Charles, Maye Stanley of White Plains, KY, Eddie Hallum of Princeton, KY, Jason Hallum of Princeton, KY, Tim McDonald of Madisonville, Melissa Harper of Nortonville, KY and Melania Harper of Mississippi; nineteen grandchildren, and seventeen great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, September 18, 2021, at Suthards Baptist Church with Pastor Sam Haulk. Burial will be private for the family. Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Friday at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home and from 9:00 A.M. until service time Saturday at the church. Pallbearers will be Eric, Logan, Hunter, Tristan, Ethan, Justin, Joshua, and Jacob. Honorary pallbearers will be Matthew and Deagan.
